Seeking Travel and Adventure Stories for New Podcast Series
Looking for submissions for a new series on the podcast, “Limitless Living.”
The podcast focuses on telling the stories of people living unconventional lives of all sorts.
From digital nomads to safari guides, “Limitless Living” is all about what lead up to veering away from the norm, choosing something other than the 9-to-5 desk job, and doing something out of the ordinary.
This new series is called “Misadventures,” and will consist of shorter episodes in which a guest will tell an intriguing story about an adventure traveling, exploring in the outdoors, while doing their unconventional job, etc.
The stories, once accepted to the show, will be recorded by the storyteller. A digital audio file will be sent in for editing and other post-production.
Final story audio should be between around 20 minutes, ideally. All work on the storytellers’ end can be done remotely. “Misadventures” episodes will be 30 minutes long total, including intro and outro recorded by host.
Please send an email to Emily at the email address below, describing yourself and your unconventional lifestyle, and a short description of your story. If your pitch gets us hooked, we’ll request a script with a little more detail! Please put “Misadventures” as the subject.
All storytellers will be able to provide links at the end of the episode connecting listeners to social media accounts, webpages, etc.
Do you have a story about…
– an in-flight mishap?
– living in a vehicle?
– a crazy experience abroad?
– a nail-biting wildlife encounter?
– a tiny house build gone wrong?
– a rock climbing accident?
– getting lost in the outdoors?
Anything that screams unconventional and wild!
Stories should be engaging for listeners, have clear background, build-up, climax(es), and resolution. Humor, whether it be just a touch or full out, is a huge plus!
Speakers must be able to communicate clearly in English and have strong storytelling skills.
